Personal Touches

Key to the World

The Key to the World card is the personalized credit card like card assigned to each member of your party. You may, if you wish, associate an actual credit card to your Key to the World so that you can charge all your shipboard expenses directly through your card. Even without a credit card associated, you can still use your Key to the World to charge purchases, but you will have to settle up your bill with guest services before debarkation. The card also acts as your room key and your identification for debarkation and embarkation at ports of call.

Waiting Staff

Your waiting staff during dinner will likely be the most polite and attentive waiting staff you've ever encountered. They'll pull out your chair, help you with your napkin, and make certain there's always enough bread on the table and water in your glass. They'll make an effort to learn the names of every member of your party and work hard to make sure your dining experience is a superb one.

Tipping

On the last day of your cruise, you will receive tipping envelopes with guidelines as to how much to tip each member of your waiting staff, although you are free to tip more than is recommended if the staff has made your voyage an exceptional one. You may place cash into the envelopes or charge the tips to your Key to the World at Guest Services, where you will be given cards indicating the amount, which you then slip within the envelope. The envelopes should be handed personally to the waiting staff during your final dinner.

The recommended amounts are as follows:

When purchasing drinks throughout your sailing (which you charge to your Key to the World), you will be given a receipt upon which you will find that a 15% gratuity has already been added to the price of the drink. If you find it is required, you may then add a second gratuity upon the first.
