Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas, is a bustling city with limitless potential. You have the opportunity to organize onshore activities before ever leaving the ship, or you can just decide once you've left the ship. Activities offered by Disney include a dolphin encounter, scuba diving, a tour of the city's historical sites, and an evening trip to a casino.
Whatever you decide, you will find you have plenty to do in Nassau. The locals are very friendly and always willing to lend a hand. You will find many shops and restaurants within walking distance of the ship, including many duty-free shops for those looking for jewelry, perfumes, porcelain, and many other things. It should be noted, though, that almost everything sold in the Bahamas is imported and there is a heavy import tax that is reflected in the prices of the items you so. So, although there may be no tax or duty on your purchases, the prices will already be greatly inflated.
Hair braiding is a popular activity for girls in Nassau, but be sure to tell the braider how much of your hair you'd like braided, and be careful for lice.
Taxis will take you just about everywhere in Nassau, including popular Paradise Island, but fix a price with the driver before getting into his cab.

Climate: Subtropical and tropical climate year-round moderated by the gulf stream and trade winds. Temperatures ranging from 68 to 86° F during the day and 62 to 70° at night year-round. Seawater temperature ranges from 73° F in February to 82° F in August.
Brief: Capital, and chief port of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, on the northeastern coast of New Providence Island. It is a world-famous tourist center, known for its fine beaches, colorful tropical vegetation, and the resort community of Paradise Island across the harbor. Among the landmarks of the city are the Parliament Building and Court House; Government House (1801), the official residence of the governor-general; and Christ Church Cathedral. Nearby attractions include marine gardens, at the eastern end of the harbor; Fort Charlotte (1787-1789); Fort Fincastle (1793); Ardastra Gardens, and Jumbey Village, a reproduction of an 18th-century Bahamian community.

- Atlantis Beach Day

This full-day adventure is a one-of-a-kind experience! You begin with a 35-minute historical harbor cruise to the Paradise Island Ferry terminal. From there you will be escorted to a reserved location on the beach at the Atlantis resort. There you can enjoy a complimentary lunch at the Dive-In snack bar and a guided tour through "Discover Atlantis," the marine habitat aquarium attraction. Also at the Atlantis resort, you can try your luck at the casino or shop at one of the resort's exquisite boutiques. Please note that there is quite a bit of walking with this experience. Return ferry transportation is included and available up until 5:30 PM After this time, you will need to take a taxi (additional cost) back to the ship by 2:00 AM.

- Discover Atlantis / (2 - 5 hours)
You begin your experience with a 35-minute historical harbor cruise to the Paradise Island Ferry terminal, across from Atlantis. From there you will be escorted to the resort to begin a guided journey through "Discover Atlantis," the extensive marine habitat aquarium attraction. Themed as the lost city of Atlantis, this attraction is home to over 120,000 fish, representing 150 species. Please note that there is quite a bit of walking with this experience. Return ferry transportation is included and available up until 5:30 pm. After this time, you will need to take a taxi back to the ship by 2:00 AM.

- Sunshine Glass-Bottom Boat / (1.5 hours)
The perfect excursion for enjoying the beauty of a coral reef without getting wet! The glass-bottom boat takes you around Nassau harbor as the host points out the sights around historical Nassau. Then it's off to the protected coral reefs, where the water is brimming with assorted colorful fish.

- Caribbean Queen Snorkel Boat / (2 -3 hours)
Some of the most beautiful reef habitats in the world await you as you enter the fascinating submarine world of the warm Bahamian waters. Your experience begins with a narrated tour of historic Nassau and takes you to your final dive destination: the reef at Athol Island. As you don your snorkel and vest, you'll receive a snorkel demonstration before entering the water. The vessel is equipped with freshwater showers and modern dive ladders. You will have approximately one hour to enjoy this open-water snorkeling experience. Children must be at least 8 years of age and accompanied by a parent or guardian to participate.

It's a fun and sun beach day with this free-spirited excursion to the tropical paradise of Blue Lagoon. Cruise the turquoise waters en route to Blue Lagoon as a live calypso band plays on deck. Beach games, water sports, and lunch at Sea Garden Grill are all part of this day of total relaxation! Water sport equipment rentals are available at an additional cost.
