Destination: Castaway Cay
Facilities
Castaway Cay - pronounced "key" - is Disney's very own privately owned island in the Bahamas. When you awake in the morning you will find that you've already docked at the island's very own deep water pier, eliminating the need to have to take a launch back and forth from the island.
Once on shore, you can ride a tram to the family beach or walk the scenic pathway. From the family beach, you have the option to take a second tram to the adults-only beach, Serenity Bay. The adults-only beach offers a more quiet, serene experience, as well as massage huts. You can walk all the way to Serenity Bay, but it's a long hike, and it's not recommended you do it barefoot. You can also rent a bicycle, if you like.
Massages in open-air huts are available at Serenity Bay, although you must remember to make your reservations early at the Vista Spa & Salon. The tram ride to the adult beach takes you right by the island's very own airstrip, reportedly used by drug runners before Disney ever bought the island.
The family beach features activities for one and all. There are shops, a clinic, playing fields, and a lovely golden beach. You can rent water vehicles or go snorkling in the island's very own snorkling lagoon. Arrangements for these activities can be made before ever leaving the ship, or once on shore.
Lunch time on Castaway Cay features a great big barbecue party and everyone's invited. Music, dancing, food and fun are the order of the day.
At sunset, it's time to get back on the ship. But before you leave, don't forget to visit Castaway Cay's very own post office and get your postcards stamped with the island's very own postmark. The post office, being an official Bahamian office, will not accept your Key to the World card. They accept only cash for the postcards and stamps. US dollars will do fine.

Walk into an expansive oasis of serenity and fun, where you can simply relax to your heart's content or be as active as you feel. The possibilities unfold before you. Enjoy clear, turquoise waters on your choice of separate white-sand beaches for adults, families, and kids. Try a sumptuous barbecue lunch. This 1,000-acre Bahamian island offers sports activities, including swimming, biking, volleyball, and tetherball. Children, teens, families, and adults can enjoy events designed just for them, or challenge each other in wacky games and competitions. - Snorkel Lagoon
Discover species and creatures of the ocean in our environmentally friendly snorkel lagoon. Pick up your gear at Gil's Fins and Boats and make your way to the educational area, where you can learn more about our 12-acre snorkel lagoon. In the water, you can follow the Discover Trail (for beginners) or the Explorer Trail (for more advanced swimmers). Your all-day equipment rental allows you to enter and exit the water as many times as you like. It's a great first-time snorkel experience. Snorkel, mask, fins and vest included. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

- Boat Rental
A variety of boats are available to rent on Castaway Cay at Gil's Fins and Boats. Boats are subject to availability; walk-up rental only. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. All prices are for one-half hour rental.

View Castaway Cay from a whole new perspective as you soar approximately 600-1,000 feet in the air! This aerial adventure is approximately 45 minutes total, with 7-9 minutes airborne. Guests must weigh more than 90 lbs., but must not exceed 375 lbs.

Departure Times: Every 60 minutes, beginning at 10:30 AM
- Banana Boat Ride (17 - 20 minutes)
Get ready to peel out on a wild ride on a large inflatable boat that looks like a banana! You'll skim the sparkling Caribbean waters for approximately 17 minutes while the banana boat is pulled along by a jet ski. Guests must be 8 years and older and be able to swim.

- Castaway Cay Bottom Fishing (3 - 3.5 hours)
This excursion allows fishermen the opportunity to perfect their skills or just experience the fun and challenge of reeling in their catch. You will be joined by up to 5 other fishermen. All fishing tackle and bait is provided along with bottled water and soda. Children 12 and under must wear a life vest.
